Community Involvement
A Caring Community Partner
Baird has a long tradition of giving back in the communities where our associates live and work, and many give generously of their time, talents and personal resources to local organizations. Our associates also support annual firm level campaigns to raise funds for local and national charities. And our Baird Foundation provides financial support for causes ranging from fighting homelessness and hunger to promoting education and the arts.
Other ways Baird supports associates’ passion for giving back include Baird Gives Back Week; an event encouraging associates to team up in their communities and volunteer in a range of activities, including tutoring students, working with seniors, building homes and cleaning up parks.
A closer look at Baird Gives Back
Each Baird employee is given the opportunity to take up to one paid day each year to volunteer in the community. The program is designed to encourage employees to provide volunteer service to a nonprofit organization of their choice.
Additionally, Baird employees take part in the annual “Baird Gives Back Week.” During this week, Baird provides its employees with paid hours to volunteer at Baird’s selected nonprofit organization.
This year:
- In 2023, associates donated nearly 8,000 volunteer hours to help support non-profit organizations and individuals across the firm's global footprint.
- From May 15-20, more than 2,300 volunteers from over 100 Baird offices in cities such as Milwaukee, Louisville, Frankfurt, Chicago, Sarasota, London, Pittsburgh and many more participated in Baird Gives Back week.
- Associates helped with community-bettering projects, such as preparing and serving food, tutoring and mentoring students, walking and playing with shelter animals, working with seniors and cleaning up parks, riverbeds, gardens, and more.
